Home Learning - Cover to Cover (C2C)
Cover to Cover introduction
We believe it is important to develop pupils' disciplinary literacy and oracy skills across the curriculum and opportunities are therefore provided for pupils to engage with Cover to Cover (C2C) work out of school hours in each subject. C2C tasks are usually set via Google Classroom but could sometimes include reading or comprehension work provided in other formats. C2C work can recap prior learning, provide opportunities to study new concepts or extend pupils' understanding beyond what is explored in the classroom. It should feature high challenge, but be scaffolded for accessibility.
Frequency of setting
1 C2C per week - Core (English, Maths and Science) + KS4 Options
1 C2C per fortnight - KS3 Options
Expectations of pupils
Pupils are expected to engage with their C2C home learning. You will receive communication from the school to inform you if your child has not submitted a suitable amount of C2C tasks each half term. You should notify the school if your child has difficulty accessing the work at home - in this instance, we will provide a supervised space for them to work at school.
