Safeguarding

Leytonstone School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its pupils. Each pupil’s welfare is of paramount importance.

Emails for Safeguarding staff:

Safeguarding and protecting our pupils from harm and promoting their welfare is paramount. School may be the only stable, secure and predictable element in the lives of children at risk. We strive to make school a safe place where students can feel secure; where they are encouraged to talk and they believe they will be heard.

We value our pupils’ individuality and their right to feel safe, happy and healthy and thus to empower our pupils to make maximum progress and achieve to the best of their ability.

We also acknowledge that on occasions, incidents may occur where parents or carers are concerned about a child outside of normal school hours. If you are worried about a child at our school, please come in to school and speak to a member of the safeguarding team or alternatively, you can report the concern directly to LBWF Children’s Social Care using the link provided.

Ourpact is an App parents can download to their phones and devices, which allows them to control their child’s internet usage.

Parents can use this App to set times throughout the day which allow their child access to Wi-Fi /4g on their phones, and they can do it remotely so the child has no control over it.

It also shows them what apps the child downloads too

Leytonstone School works with Operation Encompass – an organisation ensuring all police attended incidents of domestic abuse are shared with the school in timely manner.
